5th
Affirmative Action Program successfully completed!
(UPCAT Review)
This month of May, the Local
Government of Libon successfully conducted the 5th Affirmative
Action Program (AAP) in partnership with Ugnayan ng Pahinungod UP Los Baños.
This proram is now on its 5th year since its first conduct during
Mayor Bem’s first term year 2006. This entrance exam review sponsored by the
LGU lasted for 15 days. This year’s batch was composed of 29 academically
gifted third year honor students coming from the 10 public secondary schools in
the municipality. The purpose of this review is to prepare them for the forthcoming
UPCAT this August and also to train them physically, emotionally and mentally
towards college life. The review was made possible through the effort of 8
bright and dedicated facilitators who unselfishly shared time, knowledge and
effort towards the optimum development of each participant. They were
graduating students and graduates of UP Los Baños and did this job out of
volunteer work.
