CHARMED by Libon and Libongenos!

January 18 - 19, 2012

The 2nd team from Singapore arrived - Professors Scott and Jonathan, Harvard educated professors who head Executive Education at Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, Singapore's biggest and premier university.

They were also Mayor Bem's professors.... They might have been intrigued by what she had been sharing in class, that they decided to bring the class of International students to Libon, Albay, Philippines, for a week of experiential learning in the next SMP Batch this year.

They were brought around - Day Care at West Carisac, San Isidro Elem School, San Vicente High School, Libon Community College. Met also the Department Heads, Barangay Captains, Local School Board, Vice Mayor Das Maronilla and the SB, and had an exit lunch with Regional Director Remy of DSWD.

The planned output of the class will be a document that will strengthen and sustain the notable governance programs and innovations of Libon, for the next 10 years, and Level Up current governance practices by a Local Government vis a vis Central Government, other development partners and other stakeholders.

This is surreal...Wow! Let’s pray for the best.
